Hi, Margaret"

I thank you for your Henry IV rumor posting on my own as a Shakespeare scholar, and on behalf of my Shakespeare colleagues. In a lifetime of devoted study, a new story is a treasured gift. And this one totally escaped me = until now. And from 1832? Brilliant!!!

So, thank you so much!

Sincerely, Janet

Most Welcome!!! I stumbled upon the rumor on FB~~~ am always curious when I read something about historic figures how I might be related. When I read Henry IV profile here on Wikitree saw that the rumor was missing~~~~ Turns out I should be Henry IV's 16th great grand niece.... couple of Unknown confidences in the connection. John (Plantagenet) of Gaunt KG seems to be my 17th Grandfather~~~ Best Margaret

Margaret,

I was going through and doing some minor maintenance on several profiles and wanted to let you know I added your name to the Acknowledgments section for William McComb so you could edit it how you'd like; plus I don't think my name should stay solo since we merged a while back :) Cheers! Becky Elizabeth

P.S. - is there a link to the way you've done your homepage showing the direct relationships? I've got several greatgrgrgrgr grandparents that were kings and queens etc and would like to do something like that for my immediate family to have... Thanks Again!! Becks

Thanks Becky,,, not that concerned about being acknowledged, but nice!! Have no relationship with this William McComb, but a second Great Grandmother on my paternal side was Martha Eliza (McCombs) Hardman McCombs-752. Why I take a particular interest in the Mccomb(s) name... Enjoy being helpful if possible...

As for the set up on my home page,,, There is information on and how to go about creating a multitude of Stickers here https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Category:Stickers&pageFrom=A#Pages The following is the input formula for the First Sticker on my Homepage,,, just fill in the ancestors details while in Edit and it should show up on you home page... can go back and edit if mistakes are made. Type {{ }} at the beginning and end of format below with your personal ancestor info. for the image and box to be created.... if I do it here you'll not see the format,,, it will automatically create the Boxed image. Have fun.

This is the format for my other Stickers

Relationship Sticker |image=UK_Flags-48.png |relationship=12 great-granddaughter |name= Robert Stewart Ist Earl of Orkney Lord of Zetland |id=Stewart-10070

Once again for image and box to be created {{ }} need to be typed at the beginning and end

Margaret, I am building my Paisley family tree here in Ohio. My great grandfather is Frank McNutt Paisley, and I am having quite a bit of trouble finding out how my Paisley family has any connection to the McNutt family. Are you aware of any Ohio ancestors of yours?
posted by Matthew Paisley
Had a quick Search on Family Search for you,,, couldn't immediately see why Frank has McNutt as a middle name~~~ but lot's of information for you to add to his profile, mother Grandparents etc. Here is the Link https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L6PK-7R5 My Father's family pretty much are located in the South, particularly Alabama. Any other help you need just ask.....

Hi Margaret, please don't remove the word County or Parish for USA locations when there is no town or city listed. This is a very important distinguishing word. For instance Sacramento, CA can either be Sacramento the city or Sacramento the county. Thanks, Emma
Thanks Emma,,, will take care; generally I simply respond to the automatic date adjustment for the addressing.... but will pay more attention in the future!!

Hi Sean, I was just adding/making changes based on Find A Grave Source https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/24312192/burrell-a.-mcclendon . It seems Burrel A. is a distant cousin of mine via my paternal (McNutt) side of my ancestors. You and I both share an 8th Grandmother Joane (Stroud) Mildenhall (1631 - abt. 1682) Stroud-118. Making us 8th Cousins!

Hi Margaret

Burrell McClendon is not the son of Samuel McClendon and Fanny Dumas. He is the son of James. There are 2 branches of McClendon 1.Greasy Cove 2. Springville McClendon. The Greasy Cove McClendons are James McClendon Family and the Springville McClendons are Samuel McClendons Family. I come off the Springville Line. Andrew Moorman McClendon.

Thank you Sean McClendon

Hi Margaret. You can go to Rufus Howard’s profile and click on “Changes” to see what changes were made and by whom. When I last made changes, the sources were there, but feel free to make any changes you feel are appropriate. You can go back to a previous version of the profile once you find it in the changes tab.

Hello,

Please don't add the husband's name as Current Last Name for French married women. All the documents bear their MAIDEN name, they signed their maiden name. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:France_Project_Guidelines_for_Name_Fields#Family_Names

Thanks Isabelle!! Got carried away and was NOT paying attention!!

Hi, Margaret. You posted a question on the profile of William Edward Powell that I created in regards to his middle initial stating that the Find-a-Grave memorial lists it as William C. Powell. The middle initial "C" was likely pulled from the 1880 US Federal Census, which has his middle initial transcribed incorrectly. On closer inspection it is an "E.", not a "C." My wife's mother is his granddaughter, and the family says his middle name was Edward.

Hi Margaet,

I've noticed that you've been creating new pre-1700 profiles without citing a reliable source (online family trees are not reliable sources for pre-1700 profiles). Part of pre-1700 certification requires the addition of a reliable source when profiles are created. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources.

If you could go back and ensure those profiles you added are sourced appropriately, it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks, Traci

Hello Margaret,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).
